If you haven’t already tested this out, you probably want to add me on Twitter.

Twitter is a social networking tool that enables individuals to create micro-blogging sessions. This allows you to update followers on what you are doing by the second. This has wide implications and a highly valuable set of processes you can use to utilize this new social media.

#1 – Establish an information thread for credibility.

As with traditional blogging, information threading on Twitter can help you generate more followers who find that your information is useful. Obviously, you will need to have other people read your “tweets” (posts) and mention this to their followers. In that sense, it truly is a word-of-mouth device for leveraging.

#2 – Establish internal corporate communication.

Ever wonder how teams can communicate using Twitter? Well, load up www.Twhirl.com. Once you get yourself on your desktop, add your thoughts and feelings into your Twhirl interface, and start working. Not only does Twitter now serve as a reference, it also can be used to chat with colleagues on the go. It’s not as rigorous as chatting on MSN or Yahoo Messenger or Skype, but the mode of communication literally spreads as though everyone can read your mind. If you started the day with a tweet saying “Energized for the day… looking forward to crunching numbers”, you end up being better able to let your colleagues and team members know what you are doing and feeling. Certainly helps with team dynamics!

Businesses have found a great potential in the marketing and promoting their respective businesses in the Internet that they create websites entirely dedicated to the nature of their business. Most even take their business to the Internet and offer a website of high quality that gives their clients a sense of professionalism and business sense.

Websites that are dedicated mostly to businesses are given a place in the World Wide Web through web hosting. As there are very many options for choosing a good web host for businesses, there are certain things for you to look for when thinking of getting a good web hosting service for your business.

First things first, take note of the size of the network backbone of the server that the hosting company uses. It is pretty obvious that the bigger the network backbone, or pipeline, the faster and better information travels. If your business requires this type of service, then it is well that you go with this. But there are small companies that will only require a smaller pipeline since the amount of data they transfer is not large so the best options for these companies is to choose a server with a lower bit rate as to minimize the cost as well.

There are no great secrets to affiliate marketing, just create a website for each product you are promoting. Not many people understand just how much revenue is possible with affiliate marketing if you sent you mind to it. Other than a small (or large) website, often just one page is all that is required as long as it is designed for the product in question. The biggest plus point about this system is you can find whatever product you wish, to sell, without having to worry about crating your own.

At this point you my not have a good idea what it is you want to sell but this is not as difficult as it seems. You should not be in a rush at this point because you will need to spend time reading and understand the terms and conditions of the company you want to sell products for. This is your chance to safeguard your earnings before you lose anything for a misunderstanding of their objectives. There are often cases where the trading country cannot export their product to foreign countries or they can only pay people who are resident in that particular land.

Unless you intend to have a massive turnover with a product, steer clear of affiliate programs with less than 50 percent commission payments. If you have never researched affiliate marketing before you can try to free web resources to find products and they are: google.com/trends/hottrends and Clickbank.com where you can also sign up for the programs using their own payment gateway. Almost all reputable affiliate programs will allow you to join them at no charge (not even an admin fee) so be very careful handing over money to any company that says you need to pay them a single registration fee. If you don’t know what to do about payments then you would be well advised to choose one or both of the following programs: Clickbank or Paypal can both process payments from companies and registration doesn’t cost a cent. Remember this is the early part of your affiliate marketing venture so you do not need (or want) to experiment unnecessarily; there will be plenty of time to do that when you are more established.

Many programs these days will use Paypal or Clickbank; they are easy to use, have good reputations and do not charge to join and you can expect a high level of service from both. At a later stage, trying different companies to handle payments will be fine but your inexperience in affiliate marketing at this point could lead you to making mistakes that are unnecessary.

In 1850, when she was only 17 years old, my great grandmother, Mathilda, arrived in California with her three older brothers and her parents, who were among the hundreds of thousands of Americans and foreigners who traveled to the Western state in hope of striking gold.

The story that was passed through generations in my family insists that Mathilda, without any help, found one of the richest gold fields in Sierra Nevada. There is another story about her scandalous love affair with a handsome yet married man, who subsequently fathered my great grandfather. But we’ll talk about that some other time.

As you can probably imagine, Mathilda was a remarkable woman. The enormous wealth she had acquired in 1852 in California was totally lost by her grandson, my grandfather, in 1929 in New York, when the stock market crashed. Fortunately, she died in 1920 and was spared the heartbreak.

Do you struggle in the day, working so many hours and not seeing the results you desire? Try working smarter, and see the results you want without doing much work at all. As long as you are in the work field, there is always going to be a cap on how much money you can make and the rate at which you can elevate in whatever industry you are working in.

The solution to your problem is the idea of passive income. Passive income is the idea of setting up streams of income that will work for you without you having to invest your time. Once you set up a passive income, it mostly works on autopilot and you can make money while you are working on other endeavors in life.

Even if your financial situation seems like it cannot get any worst, it will if you continue to work harder and not smarter. Inflation tells us that we need to earn about $225,000 a year just to earn what the average household did in 1968! That trend does not seem to be stopping anytime soon, so now is the time to start thinking about a passive income.
