You must continue to learn or your business will become stagnate. This is for all businesses not just the Internet Marketing niche but do you have to join a coaching program or get a mentor to do this?

The answer is, it depends. (Don’t you hate that answer?) I have had numerous coaches and mentors in the Internet Marketing field some have helped some haven’t, but overall the programs have increased my income significantly.

That doesn’t mean that coaching would be right for you. How much you get out of coaching will depend a lot on YOU!

* How much experience you have and what your expectations are.

* How well you get along with your coach

* How much you work at it.

* How much faith you have in the program or coach.

Your Expectations – Before you get into any coaching program you should have some sort of goals already set up. When you look at a coaching program you need to know if it will move you closer to your goals. These are the expectations you will set for the coaching program. These expectations should give you a good idea of what level of marketing you are at. The program must match your level of experience of you might be wasting your money.

If you are a true beginner you need to find coaching that will take you by the hand and get you going. It isn’t going to do you any good to learn advance strategies until you know how to take the actions to implement them.

If you are just starting out I would recommend for coaching that you find a coaching program with a low price point that lasts 3 to 6 months. This will be long enough for you to learn a ton of information, but more importantly, to put it into action while you are still in the coaching program. By taking this action if you have any problems you should be able to ask your coach and by all means if you have a problem ask your coach, that is what they are there for.

Relating to Your Coach – If you have a personal or ethical difference with your coach, you probably won’t get much out of the coaching program. For this reason you want to do a little research on your coach. Sign up to their newsletter, read their blog, review their product get a feeling for them and decide if they are some one you can work with. If you are not sure you can work with them be very careful before you spend you money.

Does your coach need to be a “Guru” or an expert at everything? No, to be honest there is no one that knows everything. You need a coach that is capable of moving you from the level you are at to the next level. This means that your coach only has to be a little farther along then you are.

How Much You Work At It – That’s right I said that dirty four letter word, “Work” there is no magic button that will take you from nothing to rich, you have to put in the time and effort to succeed at anything.

All good coaching programs will give you homework. Yes, you will have to do something to learn. When you get these assignments do them but don’t do them by rote, dig into them and make sure you understand what you are supposed to understand. If they ask you to read something don’t just skim over it, read it! Read it twice or three times until you fully comprehend what the purpose of the reading is.

Believe – Your mental approach to coaching is more important than any other aspect. You must believe you are going to get the results that you set up in your expectations.

If you think you will earn $5,000 by the end of the coaching program then you need to BELIEVE that you will have $5,000 by the end of the coaching program and take all the steps to achieve it. If you don’t truly believe then you are better off not spending the money on that coaching.

Belief in your coaches’ sales copy or sales pitch is also important. If the sales page for the coaching program says you will be making $100 per day at the end of the program and you don’t truly believe it then why would you sign up for it. I know it is hard to put the emotion of a sales pitch aside and think logically, but if you want the most bang for your buck you need to truly believe the pitch.
