Ebook sharing is easy with ClickBank. When you list your ebook on ClickBank, affiliates will sell it to earn a commission. This is like having a small army of passionate salespeople! When you place your ebook on ClickBank, use a link that sends buyers to a squeeze page. Sending them straight to the sales page, instead of a squeeze page, deprives you of a valuable opportunity to collect their email addresses.

At one point, ClickBank had a policy against squeeze pages. Affiliates were also reluctant to use squeeze pages, concerned that sales will suffer. However, they have since changed their minds. After all, if a potential client is unwilling to give you their first name and email address, they are likely not serious buyers.

Secondly, part of having a big ebook launch is to collect the emails, so that you can have future launches. Finally, a squeeze page gives you a chance to follow-up. The old adage, “the fortune is in the follow-up” is especially true when a visitor does not buy the first time on your sales page. You have to send them emails to say, you noticed they visited your page. Then, you discuss one of the objections people have with the ebook, such as it being too expensive.

As you see, collecting the first name and email address of visitors to your squeeze page can help you create a valuable list of contacts. Not only can you tailor advertising to them, but you can also follow up with visitors who didn’t buy. This information can provide valuable background for your next e-book.

Long ago, one of my major partners flat-out refused to send customers to my squeeze page. He claimed that it would diminish sales. I buckled, regrettably, and agreed to remove my squeeze page.

Well, that sales page attracted about 2000 visitors. We sold 200 ebooks, a pretty good record, meaning 10% of the visitors made a purchase. With a squeeze page, I could have collected the email addresses and names of not only the buyers, but the other 1800 visitors as well. A simple and quick email to the nonbuyers could have answered their fundamental objections, increasing our percentage of sales.

A squeeze page has many benefits. It’s a great opportunity to develop new prospects for your products, follow up with visitors, and improve the sales of your ebook.
