Blogging has become a huge phenomenon, because it gives every person a chance to express themselves to the millions of people surfing the net. Never before have individuals been able to have a voice able to reach as many people as today. The best part is that it is so ridiculously easy, anyone can do it!

The most popular blogging services today are definitely Blogger and Wordpress. I have to say that without a doubt, Wordpress proves to be the most flexible blogging platform that even “newbies” will have little trouble learning.

Even if you have little to no tech knowledge, you can set up a Wordpress blog in no time by using their hosted blog feature. It really can’t get any easier, and the best part is that it’s free! Of course, hosting your own blog with your own domain name is the best way, but if you want to learn how to use Wordpress and experiment with it risk free, then you can’t go wrong with a free hosted version.

The great thing about blogs is that you can really talk about whatever your heart desires. However, if your goal is to make money blogging, then I have some tips that will make it easier for you to do so.

First of all, you should stick to a specific niche. If you stick to a single subject, or two, you will be perceived as much more of an authority as if you were to blog about anything and everything. Gain reader’s trust and respect, and you will be able to monetize from their loyalty.


Secondly, provide a lot of value. There has to be a reason for people to return to your blog, or subscribe to your RSS feed. Don’t just spam them with a ton of offers and ads, this might earn you a few pennies, but you’re in it for the big bucks, and you can only do so with a captivated audience.

Next, be patient. Blogging does take some serious work, and some time to grow and become capable of earning you substantial income. Remember that even though you may not make money fast, in time your earnings will be able to grow and grow.

Last but not least, choose the most effective monetization method for you specific niche. There are tons of ways to make money from a blog, such as with paid posts, advertising, or widgets; but only you can determine what works the best by testing them out. The one method that is super effective in almost every niche is affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is the best way to make money from blogging. As you become more popular, and more of an authority, you are in a position to make recommendations to your readers who trust you, and are willing to follow your lead.
