Develop these 5 attributes of a successful person, and you will find yourself moving quickly toward your goals in life!

* You must have a thick skin: Any time someone says no to you, it might seem offensive. Jealous people don’t want you to get ahead–they try to demean you . If you learn to “fluff it off”, you’ll find yourself much more successful in the long run.

If you let any criticism “roll off the duck’s back” then you will attain success. Duck’s feathers act like a water repellant–they dispel moisture because they are packed very tightly together. If you want to be successful, you’re going to have some negative reviews—just treat them like the water on a duck–let it roll off–you’ll be a lot better off for it.

* You must learn to be obedient: Usually this relates to children and their superiors. But, if you want to be in a leadership position, then you have to learn to follow –or obey–another leader first. Be loyal to that leader and they will show you the way.

Fortune 500 Companies have great leaders–at least 175 CEOs are former us Marines. And 27 US Presidents served in the military. This comes from learning to obey orders and following a good leader. It teaches you to understand what commands and orders do to help operate an organization.

* Being courageous: Home of the Brave–but hopefully –home of the courageous too. There are brave people all over but it takes moral fortitude to be courageous. This means making the right decision even when faced with adversity.

When you have courage, you follow through on your vision. It’s on display every day and only the courageous have the ability to get the most out of life. When you have the strength of your conviction, find the courage to put it in to action. You won’t be sorry you did.

* Do not tolerate certain things: Sounds like this is contrary to the article. But–there are many things that we should not tolerate. Injustice, abuse, anything immoral or unethical. Be tolerant of a lot but not these kinds of things. If you can be that way–you’ll find it much easier to relate to others and show them how to live also.

* A Good Sense of Humour: The road we travel is filled with potholes and obstacles. You may sometimes find yourself up against one of them. If you get knocked for a loop, try to get back up and laugh it off–You’ll feel much better in the long run. You can’t move past something if you continually dwell on it–and you’ll be very bitter and angry. This way you’ll be much happier on your way to the top.
